You are invited to join us for 655 at St. Alexis Church in Wexford, PA. This festival of praise event, with dynamic speakers, music by Catholic Recording Artists Bob Lesnefsky and Kelly Pease, and Eucharistic Adoration, is aimed towards teens and young adults but open to all. We are running a series in 2010 on Discovering and Living out your Vocation. Our series is about approaching vocation as the reality that we all are called to holiness and vocation is how we are called to live that out. Come and learn about the call to holiness, how others are striving to live that out, and how God is calling you today to be holy. 655 gets it name from two things: firstly, high school teens are invited to meet at 6:55 PM in the cafeteria at St. Alexis for pizza to start the night and from John 6:55 for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Adoration, Music, and the talk for the night are from 7:30-9 PM in the Church. Young Adults 21 and older are invited to join us after Adoration at the Hofbrauhaus on the South Side after adoration finishes. We meet the second Wednesday of the month except in May (its the third Wed)
Speaker and dates are:
January 13 Fr. Matt McClain The First Vocation- the Universal Call to Holiness,
February 10- Bob and Kate Lesnefsky Seeking Holiness in Marriage- our vocation story,
March 10- Fr. Michael Zavage Called to the Priesthood- My Call to Serve,
April 14- Bill Senneway- Seeking God and His Will- My Journey Continues,

SERVE
SERVE- our ministry and leadership initiative
SERVE meets the Second Sunday of the Month in December and the First and Second Sundays of the month beginning in January from 2-4 PM.
The idea for SERVE comes for the image of tree. As Christian leaders we need to have deep roots- things like prayer, scripture, understanding our faith, community. We need to avoid the weeds- things like sin and temptation, and we need to bear fruit- things like leadership, service, ministry, outreach, sharing our faith.
